Our mission as a sports-based preschool is to form relationships with families and to design preschool and gymnastics programs that are intertwined and together foster physical, social, cognitive and emotional development. We provide a nurturing and safe environment where every child is valued and respected, and can embrace learning as they are able.

Philosphy:

At Active Explorers, we believe the health benefits of physical activity extend well beyond physical health, and have a positive impact on a child’s motor skills, cognition, social and emotional development. Gymnastics is the most comprehensive activity for physical development and contributes greatly to overall child development. We also believe that authentic learning tasks and a rich environment are integral to student learning. A child’s environment must be accessible and encourage confidence, ownership and interaction with the space, materials and people.
